If you are new to Arbroath and live in any of the following areas you are able to register at The Abbey Practice: Arbroath, Easthaven, Ethiehaven, Friockheim, Greystone, Inverkeilor and all areas within these limits. Please check with the practice prior to completing registration forms.

You will be asked to complete a registration form and a health questionnaire which will provide useful information while we wait for your medical records to arrive from your previous doctor. You may also be asked to provide identification to support your registration.

If you are unwell while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one, you may receive emergency treatment from the  GP practice.

You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you may be advised to register permanently with the practice.

To register as a temporary patient simply contact the local practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.

The patient areas of the Health Centre are situated on ground level and are easy to access for the disabled.  There are no steps for wheelchair users to negotiate inside or outside the building.
